Weekly Announcements May 10, 2015

Worship time change--May 17. For the summer we go to 1 service at 9:00 am. This begins on Sunday, May 17. This is also Syttende Mai weekend...a very busy weekend, but a time for reunions and celebration. Please invite family and friends to join you in worship!

Coffee servers are needed for May 24. If you would like to serve, the sign up sheet is on the doors going into the Fellowship Hall. June sign up sheet is also up.

Grade 12 High School Graduate Recognition is on Sunday, May 17th at the 9 am worship service. Zion Scholarship recipients will also receive their award that day.

Woodville Community Blood Drive will be held at Zion on Wednesday, May 20th from noon to 6 pm. Please park on the North side of the church. To make an appointment, conatact Joann at 715-684-3043 or log onto redcrossblood.org and search for zip code 54028. Driver's license or blood donor card is required.

Jammin' for Jesus--Zion's National Youth Gathering members invite you to Jammin' for Jesus on Sunday, June 7th from 11 am to 5 pm at Millpond Park in Baldwin under the tent. Concessions will be available. Join them for music by numerous acoustic bands, including local talent. Proceeds help Zion youth members attending the Youth Gathering in Detroit, MI on July 15-19. Our mission is to help restore a community where the economic fallout has hit very hard. Please bring a lawnchair.

"Feel the Heat" and "Hit the Road" Congregation meeting will be held May 31st after worship (10:30 am). The purpose of this meeting is to discuss boiler repair/replacement. Zion's Congregation Council is ready to make a recommendation. We have received and reviewed bids from 4 companies while 2 other companies who have looked at our boilers did not send in bids. The second part of this meeting is to become informed about the Village of Woodville's planned water and sewer project on Johnson Street (West side of church property.) We will share current information. The village plans to begin this project some time after Syttende Mai. Congregation will be informed as more information is made available. Zion is looking at replacement of the South (main) parking lot and will seek a bid from the same company that secures the Village Street Project.

Aluminum cans for Bible Campers: If you have aluminum cans please place them in the can bin at the South end of the park by the church parking lot.  Your can donations will help cover costs for children going to Bible Camp.  We are encouraging younger children to try camp and this can help them pay the way.
